My experience in Denmark was definitely one of the most rewarding times in my life. I came with the goal of learning more about the field I’m studying, sustainability. I knew the country was advanced in its goals to protect the environment. I learned about their recycling plants, their waste disposal, and the energy efficiencies that are transforming the world. My time in Denmark truly opened my eyes to a region of the world that is so progressive and wants to consistently do better for the people and for the planet.
I felt secure and safe in Denmark. People want to help each other and succeed. Every aspect of life is more calming, less stressful, and enjoyable because the Danish want their people to feel content with life and not overwhelmed by it. It was truly a great environment to live in for four months and taught me lessons I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
One day I hope to get an apartment in Copenhagen to be a part of the city once again!
